Analysis of Effective Factors in Defence - Security Considerations of Land use Planning Based on the Survival of Iran

The preservation and survival of a country depends on its territorial existence and national development in various aspects. Land planning is considered the most appropriate platform for macro-planning and national development in any country. One of the most important aspects that contributes to the sustainability of a country is paying attention to territorial planning considerations in its security and defense dimensions, because observing defense-security considerations in planning plans is one of the necessities for the development and continuity of the country, and failure to pay attention to it will cause irreparable damage. It is certain that security issues apply at different scales and do not only include the internal borders of countries, but are also affected by external conditions and the surrounding environment. Given this importance, the aim of the present study is to investigate and identify effective components in land planning considerations with a defense-security approach in order to preserve the territorial integrity of Iran. The research analytical-explanatory approach, in which a combination of library studies (books, articles, documents) was used.The results of the research indicate that the need to pay attention to land planning plans for the preservation and survival of the country is inevitable. Therefore, factors such as strategic location, the principle of decentralization, a principled approach to passive defense methods, special attention to military geography knowledge, the use of new methods and emerging technologies, etc. will play an effective role in formulating the country's defense-security planning plan in line with its survival and sustainability.
