disruptive defense-military technologies: determining the level of application, type of impact and acquisition in the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Abstract
Progress in military technologies is a necessary condition for maintaining national security. In this regard, on the one hand, the defense departments of the countries put the monitoring of emerging technologies on the agenda, and on the other hand, they prepare a roadmap. In this regard, the current research seeks to determine the level of application, type of impact and acquisition of disruptive defense-military technologies in the Islamic Republic of Iran Army. The current research, with an exploratory approach and relying on the opinions of 19 commanders, managers and experts in the field of defense, identified 23 disruptive technologies. The questionnaire of disruptive technologies extracted from military works was provided to the experts so that they could determine the necessity of using them in the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran. According to the opinion of the participants and based on the significance level of the Friedman test, the ranking of all technologies was significant, and the ranking of drones, cyber war technologies, artificial intelligence, robotics and machine learning was higher than other technologies. Also, all technologies were classified by experts in terms of application level in 3 technical, tactical and strategic dimensions, in terms of type of impact in 4 dimensions of connection, lethality, automaticity and sustaiability in the battle area. Finally, the research experts determined Aja's status in acquiring these technologies in three dimensions: imitative, adaptive and dominant. The theoretical and practical contribution of the article is the representation the scope of application of disruptive military technologies in order to prepare a defense plan in this field.
