Ranking of the educational groups of the Faculty of Basic Sciences using multi-Attribute decision-making methods

Abstract
Evaluation and ranking of the departments of an organization, including the educational groups of a faculty, is one of the important processes of monitoring the activities of that organization.. By evaluating and ranking these parts, it is possible to examine the strengths and weaknesses and make decisions about them. In this article, in order to evaluate and rank 5 educational groups of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Statistics included in the Faculty of Basic Sciences, 8 multi-attribute ranking methods have been used.. In this regard, 26 attributes, all of which are quantitative, have been considered for ranking educational groups. Weighing the attributes using 3 quantitative methods and experts' opinion, a total of 4 methods, and using the average of these 4 methods, the weight of each of the attributes and their impact on the ranking of the group. It has been found out that the problem solving index of the university had the highest weight and the number of courses offered had the lowest weight. 5 educational groups are also arranged with specified weights of 26 attributes in each of 8 ranking methods.
