Defense Planning of Kermanshah Region Based on Geographical Indicators With Emphasis on the Location of Defense Systems

Given Iran's strategic position in the Middle East and the constant presence of foreign threats, it is necessary to take the necessary measures to protect the country's territorial integrity, and the proper location of military bases is one of the important issues in defense planning that can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of this. Centers in times of crisis and military threats. In this research, the defense planning of Kermanshah region based on geographical indicators and with emphasis on the location of defense systems and areas prone to the establishment of defense systems were identified.The method was done by first compiling a questionnaire and interviewing military experts, the opinions of military and geography experts on the factors affecting the establishment and expansion of defense systems were collected, then using topographic maps and digitizing them, the database in software ArcGIS was prepared and data were weighted using AHP decision model. Finally, using AHP method and processing of spatial and non-spatial data in ArcGIS software environment, 22 points were identified for the deployment and expansion of defense systems. Then, after determining the weight of possible damage to the mentioned points, how to expand these systems in order to reduce the damage caused by enemy attacks.
