Abstract
The withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA as an international agreement, which is caused by the country's extravagance and unilateralism in the world arena, has changed and transformed the relations and actions in the global space between the actors present in it, especially Iran, and In the future, it will certainly bring many geopolitical consequences, including economic and defense-security consequences for the two main actors, i.e. Iran and the United States, and other actors. . Based on this, the purpose of the current research is to investigate the geopolitical consequences (economic and defense-security) for Iran after the withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA. The method of conducting this research is descriptive-analytical. The data analysis method is based on library and field information (questionnaire). The results of the research show that the JCPOA, by removing sanctions, freeing Iran's blocked capital and creating space for increasing Iran's interaction with the world, has been able to affect the dimensions examined in this research and, as a result, the geopolitical weight and strategic position of Iran in the region and the world. has a positive effect, but with the withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA, it brought negative economic and military-security consequences to the Islamic Republic of Iran, which the studies carried out, especially in the indicators of the economic dimension, show a decrease in the geopolitical weight of Iran.
