Abstract
The following article was conducted with the aim of investigating the behavior of military personnel based on mathematical modeling. The research method is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlational in terms of data collection method. The statistical population is made up of all military employees, both cadre and duty, of one of the military organizations, whose number is equal to 950 people. According to the table of Karjesi and Morgan (1977), a statistical sample of 274 people was considered, because the group was heterogeneous, stratified random method was used. The data collection tool of this research was Kubasa et al.'s Psychological Toughness Questionnaire (1982), Connor-Davidson's Employee Resilience Questionnaire (CD-RISC) (2003) and Parker and Dekotis' Job Stress Questionnaire (1983). The validity of the questionnaires has been confirmed by the face-content validity technique and their reliability by Cronbach's alpha. SEM structural equation modeling technique (AMOS-22 software) was used to test research hypotheses. The obtained results showed that psychological toughness has a positive and significant effect on the resilience of military personnel. Also, the results showed that psychological toughness has a negative and significant effect on job stress and job stress has a significant negative effect on the resilience of military personnel. Finally, based on the obtained results, it can be said that occupational stress can play a mediating role in the relationship between psychological toughness and resilience of military personnel. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the resilience of military personnel by considering job stress through the promotion of psychological toughness.
